Join us for an afternoon & evening of astronomy at the Putnam Museum!  We will have Displays including a Moon Rock on loan from NASA, meteorites,  Demonstrations including comet making,  indoor planetarium shows,  and solar/ night sky observing (weather permitting).  Don't forget to stop by our Weight Station scales to see what you weigh on different planets!  There will be information available on the August Solar Eclipse,  crafts, and much more.  

7:00 pm Special Program:  How and Where To View The Great American Total Solar Eclipse,  by Dr. Paul Sipiera, President & CEO of the Planetary Studies Foundation, Galena, Illinois.  He also serves as Director of the PSF Earth & Space Science Museum, Elizabeth, Illinois.  

Don't miss Astronomy Day sponsored by the Popular Astronomy Club and the Quad City Astronomical Society in partnership with the Putnam Museum & Science Center.
