Some kids and adults do not have an opportunity to enjoy the foods and beverages that they love. Many have to deal with the pain or discomfort in their abdomens and with frequent and sometimes urgent bathroom breaks associated with chronic inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) such as Crohn's Disease and ulcerative colitis. These diseases affect over one out of every 200 Americans.

The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation wants to help educate our patients, their families and medical professionals about these diseases, treatments, and nutrition. To that end, we will be holding our annual, free Patient Education Seminar on the evening of Wednesday, November 7th, at the American Red Cross Building in Moline. The seminar opens its doors at 5:30 PM, with the program beginning at 6:00 PM. We will have three guest speakers who will address adult IBD, pediatric IBD, and diets and nutrition.

This seminar is open to the public and is free. Food and beverages will be provided. Registration can be done online at online.ccfa.org/quadcities2018 , and walk-ins are welcomed.

Crohn's & Colitis Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organizations whose mission is to cure inflammatory bowel diseases and to support patients and medical professionals with education. More information can be found at www.crohnscolitisfoundation.org .
