The Downtown Rock Island Arts & Entertainment District and MidCoast Fine Arts present Gallery Hop! from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Talk with the artists, indulge your senses, shop and watch live demonstrations. You will also enjoy tasty treats and drinks.  Pick up a map at any of the participating venues or galleries and follow it to the various venues hosting wonderful artists and their artwork.

Gallery HOP!: Fire & Ice

December 8, 6-9 p.m. | The District of Rock Island

A winter festival evening awaits you with visual artists at a multitude of different venues, including ice sculpting by Robert Storm and raku ceramic firing at Desoto Arts.

With the Downtown Rock Island Partnership, Mid­Coast has organized ice sculpting, raku ceramic firing, make-your-own-ornament, and much more, including finding that unique original gift during the holiday shopping season. There's NO CHARGE to participate.

A map will guide 'Hop­pers' to each venue, and you can ride the trolley in comfort around to each HOP! stop. There are two $100 prizes for participating artists who conduct artist demonstrations to encourage interactive participation between artists and art lovers.
