Saturday, June 15th 2019. 2PM Start of the Mile Waves, 2:45PM Start for the 6K. Downtown Moline, 5th Avenue and 14th Street. The Micro Brew Mile is a 1 Mile road race which will consist of multiple waves based on different levels of fitness/ time. There will be two mile waves, Open, and Elite. The Open wave will consist of runners/walkers who registered in the Open Division, Combined Competitive Division, and Combined Masters Division. The Open Division will be all runners/walkers looking to run/walk a PR or just have a great time with friends and fellow runners/walkers. All walkers will have to be able to maintain a 20 min mile pace. The Competitive Division will be combined men and women and consist of sub 6:00 minute pace for the men, and sub 7:00 min pace for the women. The Masters Division will be combined men and women and consist of participants 40 yrs old and up where the overall male and female will receive a cash prize. The Elite Wave will consist of sub 5:00 minute pace for men, and sub 6:00 minute pace for women. To qualify for the Elite, those individuals will have to submit times ran within the last year. Top three overall fastest times (who do not have high school or college eligibility) for male and female runners will receive cash prizes. Top five overall in each wave/division will win customized Pint Glasses. Each individual will receive a limited edition Micro Brew tech-shirt.
The 6K road race will be a flat and fast road race located in Moline and will consist of four water stops, entertainment on the course, and age group awards three deep in each age category. Top three male and female winners will receive cash prizes, while top three in each age group will win customized Pint Glasses.
Participants have the opportunity to run both races at an additional cost, but will receive only one shirt. The post race party will consist of refreshments, (cookies, fruit, water, pop, free domestic and craft beer on hand if you are 21), a free "mini-Jimmy" a great live band, and the awards ceremony.
