Presented by retired Navy Captain Dale Hendricks. Dale did not know nor anticipate after he joining the US Navy, that he would directly participate in two very world-changing conflicts during his two cruises in the Mediterranean Sea with the US Sixth Fleet from 1973-1974. The 1973 Arab-Israeli War, the Yom Kippur War as it is more commonly known, was an “up close and personal” experience with and against the Soviet Union during his first cruise. During his second cruise, Dale found himself involved in the confrontation between Greece and Turkey over Cypress. Dale will relate his experiences during these conflicts.
