You can sit in a chair or on a meditation cushion.
Before and after class, visitors can tour Lamrim Kadampa Buddhist Center, see the Meditation Room and view the shrine. A traditional shrine or altar includes a picture or statue of Buddha (symbolizing Buddha’s body) in the center, a stupa or picture of a stupa (symbolizing Buddha’s mind) on its right, and a text (symbolizing Buddha’s speech) on its left. Each aspect of an image one the shrine symbolizes a facet of the enlightened body, speech and mind of a Buddha, or of the path leading to enlightenment, attainable by all living beings. Visiting and viewing these special spaces, we can receive blessings and imprints on our minds that lead to deep inner peace in the future.
