The Swenson Swedish Immigration Research Center at Augustana is bringing back the pre-Lucia SMÖRGÅSBORD
Come and eat traditional Swedish-American fare, including salads, relishes, fruit, herring, bread, cheese, potatoes, salmon, potato sausage, meatballs, ham, rice pudding, and Christmas goodies.
December 12, 2017 serving from 5:30pm – 6:30pm in the Wilson Center at Augustana College.

Seating is limited. Advance reservations and payment are required for the smörgåsbord. Payment must be received by noon Friday, December 8th. The Wilson Center is at the back of the east end of the Brunner Theatre Centre at Augustana, (3750 7th Ave). Park in Centennial Hall parking lot "E," corner of 7th Ave. & 35th St, then take the pedestrian bridge across 7th Ave. to the Brunner building and follow the signs.
There's more! After dinner, stay for the Sankta Lucia Festival at 7:00pm in Wallenberg Hall in the nearby Denkmann building (3520 7th Ave), hosted by the Department of Scandinavian Studies and the American Scandinavian Association at Augustana. Swedish-language students perform traditional Swedish songs and readings. Cookies and beverages to follow. The Lucia program is free and open to the public, and does not require reservations.
