Explore the river through a program which teaches participants first-hand about the wildlife, history, culture, and geology of the Mississippi River and the Quad Cities through Channel Cat Talks and Riverine Walks, May 29th- September 1st.

Understanding Floodplains and Floodplain Management is led by Anthony Heddlesten and Wayne Wille, Certified Floodplain Managers. Held Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 6:30PM-8:00PM. Follow the FEMA delineated 100-year and 500-year floodplain boundaries throughout downtown Davenport. Discuss various methods of floodplain management utilized throughout the Quad Cities. Meet at: River Heritage Park, Davenport, IA.
