Trans-Siberian Orchestra – Nov. 24

The Trans-Siberian Experience performs some of the greatest songs from the Trans-Siberian Orchestra on Friday, November 24 at 7:30 p.m. at the Adler Theatre, 136 E. 3rd Street in Davenport, Iowa.  A Tribute to Trans-Siberian Orchestra “Christmas Dreams Forgotten” contains all of your favorites from the Christmas Eve and Other Stories, including The Lost Christmas Eve, Night Castle, The Christmas Attic, Beethoven’s Last Night and many more!  Tickets are available at the Adler Theatre Box Office, online at Ticketmaster.com, charge by phone at 563-326-1111 or Ticketmaster outlets.

A Carpenters Christmas – Dec. 3

While The Carpenters are known for over a dozen chart topping hits, they also won over their fans with their Christmas celebrations.  Singer and playwright Lisa Rock and her 6-piece band are keeping The Carpenters’ holiday traditions alive and bringing their unforgettable Christmas songs to the stage.  See them on Sunday, December 3 at 2:00 p.m. at the RiverCenter Mississippi Hall, 136 E. 3rd Street in Davenport, Iowa.  Tickets are available at the Adler Theatre Box Office, online at Ticketmaster.com, charge by phone at 563-326-1111 or Ticketmaster outlets.

Blue Christmas: Rock ‘n’ Roll Holiday Extravaganza – Dec. 7

For Elvis, the holidays meant a time of sharing with friends, family, and even complete strangers!  During his lifetime, he released three albums of songs to celebrate the season.  Robert Shaw and the Lonely Street Band are back for this heart-warming show featuring some of The King's best loved holiday favorites mixed in with a dose of top Elvis’ hits.  Performances are Thursday, December 7 at 12 noon and 6 p.m.  Circa ‘21 Dinner Playhouse is a beautifully restored Vaudeville-era theater and is on the National Register of Historic Places.  It is located at 1828 3rd Avenue in Rock Island, Illinois.  Call 309-786-7733 for reservations or visit www.circa21.com

ELF The Musical – Nov. 10- Dec. 30

It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play – Nov. 17-19

It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play is based on the classic holiday movie with a clever twist thrown in: the story is staged as a live radio broadcast.  The Black Box Theatre shows are Friday and Saturday at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m.  The theatre’s located at 1623 5th Avenue in Moline, Illinois. Fancy Nancy Splendiferous Christmas – Nov. 24-Dec. 26

Annie – Nov. 29-Dec. 3

With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone’s hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. She is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago.  The Quad City Music Guild shows are Wednesday-Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Prospect Park Auditorium, Park 16th St. and 30th Ave. in Moline, Illinois. The Nutcracker Dec. 9-10

The Season of Light – Dec. 9-15

Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois, opens its planetarium for holiday stargazing shows Monday-Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m.  “Season of Light” is a multimedia planetarium show that combines music and narration with astronomical images projected onto the planetarium's 30-foot dome to explain how seasonal traditions are connected to the night sky.  “December is the darkest month of the year,” says Dr. Lee Carkner, planetarium director. “People all over the world have held festivals, lit candles, and tried to bring light to the darkness of the winter sky.”  “Season of Light” also explains the change of seasons, the winter constellations, and speculates about the Star of Bethlehem. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Musical – Dec. 13

See all of your favorite characters from the beloved TV special including Santa and Mrs. Claus, Hermey the Elf, the Abominable Snow Monster, Clarice, Yukon Cornelius and, of course, Rudolph.  It’s an adventure that teaches us what makes you different can be what makes you special.  See it on Wednesday, December 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the Adler Theatre, 136 E. 3rd Street in Davenport, Iowa.  Tickets are available at the Adler Theatre Box Office, online at Ticketmaster.com, charge by phone at 563-326-1111 or Ticketmaster outlets.
