Azubuike African American Council for the Arts is dedicated to the preservation of the African American experience. Our Mission is to enrich the quality of life in the Quad Cities community through the exploration and celebration of African American history, culture and Art. Our Vision is to provide our youth with inspirational activities that enlighten and educate, while celebrating the diversity of culture.The Azubuike African American Council for the Arts promotes excellence, access, education, and diversity in the arts, culture, and the history of the African American experience.

The Azubuike Studio offers Saturday morning art classes for kids, the Urban Exposure Summer Film program for teens and young adults, and screens Independent Films with Q&A sessions. We host events for the “Wrapping Ourselves in God’s Love’ African American Breast Cancer support group. We also exhibit emerging artists, and participate in the Quad City Arts Festival of Trees, as well as Bucktown Center for the Arts Final Friday monthly gallery open house event.
