The inherent beauty of wood—the grain patterns, cracks, variations in hue—serve as the source of inspiration for the artists showcased in this exhibition. This winter exhibition will explain a major art historical movement and investigates this often underappreciated medium through significant examples by its major practitioners. The works will be drawn from the Figge collection and made available to the public view for the first time. An accompanying video will show the artwork’s progression from forest to gallery and give visitors insight into the creative process behind it all. Doors 7:00pm | Concert 8:00pm with THE STEEPWATER BAND Formed in 1994 as an Allman Brothers Band side project, Gov’t Mule has seen many transformations since its formation. Fronted by guitarist, Warren Hayes, the group has included the late Allen Woody, Matt Abts, Dave Schools of Widespread Panic, Victor Wooten, and former Black Crowes members Andy Hess and Greg Rzab. Gov’t Mule has become a stable festival act, collaborating with many notable bands including The Allman Brothers Band, The Black Crowes, and Parliament/Funkadelic. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 day of show. On sale date is Saturday December 5th.

Blood Into Wine, the eagerly awaited documentary on Tool/Puscifer front man Maynard James Keenan and his vineyard partner Eric Glomskis mission to bring notoriety and respect to Northern Arizona's burgeoning wine industry, will premiere at the Capitol Theatre on Friday Feb 19 at 7PM The film will be followed by a tasting of Caduceus and/or Arizona Stronghold wines presented by Glazer's Distributing. Admission is $12 for the film and wine tasting. Additional showings of the film only will be Sun Feb 21 at 2PM and Friday Feb 26 at 8PM. Tickets are available at the Capitol Box Office or at the door.
